Bedřichov Reservoir: A peaceful Jizera Mountains escape with views and swimming for adventurous dogs

The route to the reservoir: Step by step

The full loop is a pleasant 9 km, making it an ideal morning or afternoon adventure. The starting point is Bedřichov Saddle, from where you’ll head towards the reservoir itself.

• Distance: approx. 9 km
• Elevation gain: around 140 m
• Terrain: a mix of forest paths and paved sections

One of the biggest advantages of this route is the abundance of water along the way. Small streams provide the perfect opportunity for your dog to cool down and have a drink. At the reservoir, you’ll find beautiful views and access to the water — a great place to relax, take a break or even go for a swim together.
